Both have wonderful manners, are house trained, and don’t chew on anything other than their toys. They've made themselves at home in foster care and transitioned without any problems. August loves a good game of fetch and she just got her teeth cleaned so she’s ready to give kisses. Rizzie loves a good belly rub and being outside keeping an eye on the squirrels and sun bathing. They're the perfect companions for a walk in the neighborhood or curling up on the couch to watch tv. Rizzie and August are 10 year old girls that were sadly surrendered to the shelter by their mom. Due to her own health she could no longer care for her girls and wants to find them another loving home. Rizzie is the brindled boxer hound mix and August is the tan beagle mix. They are doing great in foster care and enjoying meeting all the resident dogs and cat. Very sweet and laid back girls. Both are house trained, spayed and up to date on all their shots. August has already picked out a few favorite toys and Rizzie has found her a spot on the couch. They would love to be adopted together. All animals are on flea and tick and parasite prevention for the duration in fostercare. We are an volunteer group, who process the applications so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone and email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process . We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible. When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the dog picks you too. If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee and an adoption contract to be signed. The adoption fees help cover a portion of the care provided to the animals. All dogs and cats are microchipped and all animals adopted out are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. **All of our animals have a lifetime commitment. If for any reason, the adoption does not work out, the cats and dogs are to come back to CVRR, which is a NO kill rescue.*** The foster family and the rescue volunteers will choose the new home based on the best fit for the dog/cat.
