S AN ADOPTION PENDING. Junior and his brother Rebel are 1.5 year-old Aussie/Collie mixes who were turned into an overcrowded rural county dog shelter by their owners when they could no longer care for them. Although they’re very sweet dogs, both are very shy and not used to walking on a leash at all. Everything seems to be a new experience for them but they are starting to adjust and get their bearings in a new environment. Junior is very affectionate and loving once he feels comfortable with someone. He likes to stay close and will trip you up so you have to be aware of that. Junior and Rebel get along well together but it would probably be best for each if they’re adopted to separate homes were there are other calm, confident dogs whose lead they can follow. Junior has been working on crate-training and housetraining in his foster home and is doing well with both. He will need to continue both in his new home. We’re sure that once Junior gains some confidence and understands what wonderful things the big wide world holds for him that he will become a fantastic companion for years to come. Junior weighs about 43 pounds and his adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Junior. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
