nment so we were asked to help. Ryder is around 2 years old and super smart and loves to snuggle. He is OK with other calm dogs but doesn't like them in his face. He will ignore cats outside but if they run from him, he will chase so no cats is probably best. He has been around older kids and is great with all people. His dioes however, have some motion sensitivity and will bark and try to chase cars. We think because of this, a quiet home in the country might be the best place for him. Here are some things his foster mom has to say about him. "He is a gentle dog, loves pets, loves belly rubs, and loves to be in the same room as me. He does not have food aggression or toy aggression that I’ve seen. He loves to be outside and enjoyed the walks we took (limited due to weather). He walks VERY well on leash, however does bark and lunge at passing cars. He does have some anxiety when people come up to, pass by, or come in the house. He barks and jumps. He does start panting. We worked on being calm with positive reinforcement with treats to help with jumping. I actually saw some progress too! It isn’t angry or aggressive barking, he is just loud and vocal. We have a fenced in backyard, but I think Ryder would do very will with a larger backyard with a place to really run! He has so many positives going for him! 1. He knows “no” 2. Lets me touch his feet and paws 3. Does not chew on shoes, furniture, or clothes 4. He takes treats very well, does not bite fingers 5. Eats his food slow 6. Know clicker training, sit, down, stay, leave it 7. Loves deer antlers" To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $225 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs. We do not ship dogs. All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranaged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try email first.
