Hi there, I’m Mistletoe! I'm about 2.5 years old and weigh 29 pounds.
I’m a very sweet and smart girl and I really need someone who has the patience to show me that I’m a good dog. I’m a sweet soul; quiet and shy. I never got a chance to be outside much, so I was overweight when I first got here. I'm learning to walk on a leash and daily walks are a must for me, so I can get to a healthier weight.
I do need a quieter environment, as I’m still a little scared of people and commotion. I’ll need a home with a fenced backyard. I’m nearly house trained already, just take a few minutes to find the right place outside to go to the bathroom! I’ve learned so much since I got here!
I really love to sleep and chill out in a pile of blankets that I arrange around myself. Squeaky toys are interesting, but I haven’t learned to play with them yet.
I’d do best with another dog in the home and I’m even good with cats.
My eyes may look a little cloudy, but I don't have any issues with my vision. I’m still quite frightened of new things, but with love, time and the right home, I think I’ll continue to blossom. I can’t wait to meet you and start a new life with my furever famly!
Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.

ADOPTION EVENTS:
Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.

FOSTER CARE:
All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. NUTRITION:
Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
