worm negative and on heartworm prevention. He does have his long natural tail and dew claws. He has to be an indoor dog with safe fenced in yard required. He needs at least a 5 foot fence. He has to have a companion dog his size in his home to be his buddy and play. He is very active and needs exercise. He has to be an indoor dog and well taken care of. *5/26/18- ASTRO, DEAF, 16 months old, dob 1/15/17, is in a new foster home and has gained 6 lbs., so up to 49 lbs.. He has IBD- Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He is eating 4 cans a day to try to get more calories. He is not taking Prilosec and doing well. He has separation anxiety and is a typical loud barker/whiner with this when left alone or when he can't see you. He is playing well with the other Boxers and loves to cuddle. He does have to be supervised as will eat things and chew things up so need to be doggie proof as much as possible. He is a sweet Boxer and very smart and learning signs. He needs the right home for his needs and who can pay for his food and medical bills. * 2/26/18- He had a scope and biopsies of small intestines.No problems seen in the esophagus or flap to the stomach. He was diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. We are putting him on a single protein canned food as he is not tolerating dry food. He is on 2 Prilosec a day. He needs to gain weight as not near normal weight. *UPDATE 1/4/18- ASTRO is eating well with no vomiting or constipation, but he is not gaining weight. He was tested for possible pancreatic insufficiency as not absorbing nutrition and not feeling well. Test results were normal. *UPDATE 12/10/17- ASTRO has Esophagitits and eating canned ID food, 1/2 a can, 6 times a day for 3 cans a day ($225 a month). He finally gained 2 lbs.. He is on 2 meds to help the reflux and eating out of a special bowl to slow down his eating. We are getting him an elevated feeding station. He is an awesome deaf Boxer, loving, smart and love bug! He can use Sponsors to help with his expenses to get him well.
