Meet Antilles (Ant) Antilles didn’t have the best start in life. He entered the Shelter as a stray, and as far as we can tell, he never experienced the luxuries of living in a home. He has done a great job acclimating. He may be uncertain about some things, but, is willing to learn (such as walking up hardwood stairs). He does well in his crate over night and while his foster family his out of the house.
Ant is eager to please and is food motivated. He has already learned some basic obedience in his foster home. I bet he would enjoy participating in an obedience class! His favorite toys are puzzle toys. He likes to figure out ways to get the treats out, just as he likes to figure out ways to please his humans. He never turns down a game of tug-of-war. His favorite time of day is mealtime (who can blame him!). He also enjoys hopping in the car to pick up the kids from the bus stop. He sits quietly and waits, watching out the window. He will make an excellent side kick on your next road trip.
Antilles loves to play, but, sometimes he can be mouthy. He is also guilty of nibbling at the clothes of his foster family when he wants attention. Generally, he is easily redirected, but because of this behavior, we are recommending no small children. His foster home will continue to work with him on this issue.
Ant loves playtime with his doggy pals! He is very playful and energetic! He would do best with a doggy sibling that is tolerant of his energy, yet, confidant enough to let him know when they’ve had enough fun.
Antilles is a sweetheart and I am certain he will make you smile every day. He will lull you to sleep with his snores and be a loving companion for the rest of his days. He has an adorable face and a personality to match (with a dash of stubbornness)!
