webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Doggo is a pure bred Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog but is mostly a big baby who just wants to cuddle and be loved. He doesn't realize that he's not a small puppy and will try to crawl into your lap every chance he gets and prefers to sleep on a pillow in your bed if you'll let him. He is great with dogs and kids but may not be recommended with small children since he may accidentally knock them over in his excitement. He has not been tested with cats. His favorite toys are kongs, stuffed animals, and rope toys. He will chase after a ball, but won't bring it back. Because he is still very much a puppy but very big, he will need someone willing to work with him on his manners such as walking on leash and not jumping up on people. However, he seems to be housebroken and is working on getting used to a crate. Doggo can't wait to find his forever home. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs/cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's/cat’s shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog/cat is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs and cats MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs and cats back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog or cat. The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs and cats. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
