r-intelligent and professionally trained. He knows all the basic commands. He's a lot of fun to be around - he is playful and enjoys just being near you to get some good old loving. He also loves a good tug of war and a nice walk in the park. Sammy really likes to spend some of his time lounging in the sun so a fenced in yard is required. Sammy was abandoned with a family while they were dogsitting for him. They fell in love with Sampson and tried to keep him, but they found out he had a strong prey drive for smaller animals and could not mix with their cats and smaller dogs. He'd love to be an only pet, but Sammy did seem to do well with the bigger dogs (70 pounds and up) when in his previous home while supervised. We are looking for a great local home for this great dog who has stolen many hearts. He craves time with his family and would love nothing more than to put his head in your lap.
