Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application. As an all-volunteer, foster home based organization, ARF does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants. Humphrey is an approximately 1 year old neutered male Chihuahua and possibly Italian Greyhound mix. He is housebroken and good with other dogs and cats. He will do best older kids who will respect his personal space. Come meet this cute playful pup. Humphrey will put a smile on your face within seconds. You will laugh at his antics and fall in love quickly. Don't delay putting in an application for this one you won't regret it. Humphrey is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken and neutered. His new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. Humphrey' s adoption fee is $275. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet

  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life.
