Below is what they told us about her. She’ll snuggle, play, run, and jump. She will also lay down and nap for hours on end. She is a highly intelligent, loving dog. Ruby does have some anxiety issues but has come a long way since she was first adopted. She has had extensive obedience training and has a working dog mentality to please her owner(s). Ruby only tends to shed during changing of the seasons, does not drool, does not beg, does not eat from the table, has no food or resource guarding, and does not go on furniture. We have worked with Ruby extensively and she does the best when provided a stable, loving home with routine exercise, play, and training. She is very self-sufficient and does not require much. She will not over-eat and can manage her own food intake responsibly. More information as well as all of Ruby’s toys, beds, leashes, collars, food, treats will follow her wherever she goes. Age: 3 years Breed: Mix (can provide DNA report if requested) Came back as Chow/Shepherd Size: Medium Weight: 35 lbs Health: Excellent, all shots/vaccinations up to date Traits: * Anxiety: o Separation anxiety o Fear based anxiety * Afraid of loud noises, large men approaching her quickly, strangers, other dogs o Ruby was on Prozac 20 mg for 1 year to help with anxiety, no longer required o Ruby’s signs * YawnàClosed mouthà stand stillàstare at/away àtail between legs à neck hair stands up * If provoked {only occurs with other dogs}à shows teethàgrowlsàmore hair stands up * House trained o Only goes outside, and will let you know if it is an emergency by nudging, pacing, whimpering * Crate trained o Successful if done properly o Will try to escape if training is not done right * Wimpers, whines, barks, if anxiety kicks in o Can stay in crate 8hrs * Obedience trained o Commands: * Here, Sit, Down, Wait, Stand, Get it, Leave it, Place, Let’s Go, look, Set up, With me, Walk, Easy, Run, Outside, Inside, o Nose work o Hand targets o Impulse control o Confidence building o Positive reward word “yes” o Positive punishment word “eh eh” * Socialization o Plays great with other dogs, very social, loves dog parks o Anxiety can create issues * Kids o Loves kids and wants to play o Anxiety can lead to issues * Likes o Running, walking, playing with toys, chasing a ball/Frisbee, laying around all day.
