dogs that need them. Most of the dogs in our care are crate-trained and cat tested. We test with kids when we can. Our process can seem involved and long - we appreciate your patience. Adopting a dog is not like buying a candy bar in the checkout lane; it should never be a last-minute decision or one that is not fully thought out. ADOPT ME Delilah is one of our "Million Little Things" 5 coonhounds from Pickens county animal shelter. She is very sweet and truly wants to be loved on, but is a bit skitish. She has probably lacked any human attention. She is very playful with other dogs and is obsessed with the dog toys. She has been great around cats too. She should be in an active home as well as one that is patient and willing to work with her on socializing and training. She would be wonderful in a home with another playful dog. Like what you see? We definitely encourage people who are interested in adopting, even if they haven't found the right dog yet, to fill out an application. Our process can take as long as two weeks (we work day jobs!) so having an already approved application speeds things up considerably when you see a dog that catches your eye.
