e, even if only for a few moments. But I really love to go with my people everywhere. on car rides, to the park, running in the back yard and playing ball. Did you just get a puppy who needs a buddy and a mentor? I LOVE PUPPIES!! i get so excited to make friends with a puppy. I teach them how to go outside and where to pee. how to play with toys and all kinds of things they need to know. I like other dogs as well, but a little more fussy choosing my adult dog friends. I may have been hurt by someone in the past, But I give everyone a chance. I live with 6 dogs now at the rescue and we all play well together I have been spayed, had my teeth all cleaned and one remaining puppy tooth removed, and foster mom says I am up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready to go my Furever family!! so come and meet me soon , OK? I am som ready to be you next best friend Many Paws, Penny Penny's adoption fee is 495.00 which covers all of her vetting. all donation fees are used to save another dog on death row. To apply for Penny, Please go here, to fill out an application: http://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms Adopting a Dog requires a lot of work and is a commitment! Dixie will be an awesome addition to a family that can give her the attention, exercise, training and affection she deserves. Healthy dogs: As a rescue saving dogs from starvation, Neglect and Emaciation, RPR focus's on feeding each rescue animal the healthiest dog food made of Human Grade ingredients to help them recover from their stress and starvation. We share this with our adopters and encourage them to keep their new pet on the same foods for optimal health and a long life. OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR DOG ADOPTION: 1) These dogs are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home. 2) We give preference to applicants with prior small breed knowledge/ experiences. 3) Secure visible fencing required. 4) You must have plan in place to socialize your dog properly. 5) Please do NOT write us and ask if this dog is available. If it is posted, it is available. BUT, we may be working other applications that came in before yours. If so, by the time you are approved, the dog may not be available. 8) The FASTEST way to be considered for a dog is to fill out an application. If you write, it will delay your application and put you to the back of the line. All the persons processing applications are volunteers that have their own dogs, families and job responsibilities. We do our best to get applications done quickly but applications for adult dogs come before puppy applications. There is always someone that will want to adopt a puppy. Health: Penny has been spayed , she is microchipped, current on DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies. He has been wormed and flea treated, tested negative for heartworm and Parvo History: Penny was going dumped in overcrowded shelter in California. Rompin Paws Rescue was asked to help to rescue her to keep her out of the shelter and we are so glad we did. All dogs RPR pulls from California come with health certificates, as required by Washington state Law. Adoption: If you think you have room in your home and heart for Dixie please go to our website: http://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/ There you will find more information and be able to fill out an adoption application. Adoption Fees Adoption fee is 495.00 this covers transport and adoption and medical such as certain vaccines, worming and parasite, and flea/tick control, health certificate and wellness exam We bring dogs from up from California. so there are transportation costs for each dog. Then the dogs need to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, groomed, and sometimes boarded if we can't place them in a foster, or set up at the adoption facility in Arlington, Also, we don't receive any grants so we rely solely on adoption fees and donations to fund all of our rescue efforts. Finally, we take on "Special Needs" dogs with high vet costs and pay for their procedures with 'leftover' funds from adoption fees for healthier dogs. About Rompin Paws Rescue Rompin Paws Rescue is a licensed, non-profit organization working towards our 501C3, specializing in rescuing moms to be, moms with puppies, puppies without moms and other Death Row dogs. We are located in Western Washington State. Our passion is to bring people and pets together. Countless dogs are without homes and in need of assistance. These are dogs who would make wonderful and faithful companions if only they could connect with the right person or family. We have made it our mission to help them do this. At the same time we hope to enrich the lives of those who adopt them. We strive to match our dog's needs and personality to the preferences and requirements of each potential adopter. We believe this is a crucial component of the process and will help ensure a life-long relationship. Our primary focus is on small mixed breeds, moms and puppies of small and large breeds, although we do occasionally take in larger dogs. We work collaboratively with shelters, other rescue groups, and individuals, both locally and in California.. RPR was established in April, 2015. we placed 400 dogs in our first year of operation in a small facility on Acreage in Arlington Washington. We have a few local fosters and seek to increase our foster base in order to save more lives Come Meet Our Pets... We have a home based operation on Acreage in Arlington and Our dogs are placed in foster homes around the greater Seattle/I-5 Corridor North to Arlington area where they receive socialization and training while they await adoption. Our Adoption Process... Since we have a small facility on gated acreage, we are unable to stay open to anyone who wishes to come visit. To facilitate successful adoptions we ask interested people and families to fill out an application for the dog or dogs they may be interested in. We screen the applications and then speak with the interested party by phone. If it looks like a good match can be made, we pre-approve the applicant and set an appointment for a meet and greet with the dogs at out facility or with the fosters who have the dogs in their care. we continue the interview in person and make sure the dog and family are a good fit.

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
