very dog needs a theme song. I voted for mine to be ironic…….no one expects a cute adorable Dachshund mix to have a dun dun dunna na dun dunna jaws tune right? I am the oppawsite of a shark, in fact my Foster Mommy said and I quote “She is the hands down sweetest puppy ever and I've had lots”. I dun’t know what hands down means, but I am sure it is good. I am a Weenie doggie mixed with hmmmm, hmmmm, something maybe houndish, but is a Dachshund technically a hound anyway? My bode has a certain amount of longness to it and my legs have a heavy degree of shortness, but my head is gorgeous and houndy, but not in a Dachshundy way……am I making sense? By the way, did I tell you my name? It's Delilah!! Just look at the photos. At 4-5 months old, I only weigh in at 12 pounds and I haven’t grown too much, so Foster Mommy thinks I will stay under 20 pounds. I am kind of tuff like a shark in a way, I battled parvo and URI, which means I had a really bad cough and lots of tummy owchies for an entire eternity……it was a month, but if you calculate that in puppy time……..month equals ETERNITY. I thought I would never feel better, but Foster Mommy gave me those medicines and now I am aweeee good. I am shyer than your average pup and much calmer too, my favorite place is to be near my humans and smother them in feather kisses. My current dwelling has dogs of all sizes and even a cat. I have one favorite buddy dog that I play with often, but ignore some of the others……..they just don’t toot my horn. I am tolerant of the puppy named Hero who likes to chew on me. It is a puppy thing, you wouldn’t understand. Foster Mommy thinks I am also part cat, because when I get upset I poofy puff up my entire body hair instead of just my hackles like a regular dog. I was pottying outside but then when I was a sick puppy, I used potty pads for training inside, but it is an easy transition to outside now that I have finally been given the thumbs up to go outside again. Thank goodness, I can be normal again. Anyhoo, if you want to be the proud owner of the SWEETEST PUPPY EVER as per my Foster Mommy’s factual quote, put in an application today. Just email Adoptions@Godsdogsrescue.org and tell them you want ME! I'll be waiting !!
