t Zoey! Hello there! My name is Zoey, and I'm a spirited 5-month-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love and a wagging tail that just won't quit. My journey so far has been quite an adventure, and I'm on the lookout for a forever home where I can share my boundless energy and affection. My Personality: I'm a bundle of joy and playfulness! I love bounding around, exploring new scents, and enjoying the great outdoors. Whether it's a game of fetch, a brisk walk, or just some good ol' belly rubs, I'm always ready for fun and companionship. I'm a quick learner and can't wait to show off my tricks – sit, stay, and maybe even a high-five! Ideal Home: I'm looking for a family that understands the needs of an energetic pup like me. A spacious home or a backyard where I can stretch my legs and burn off some energy would be perfect. While I'm friendly and social, I'd prefer a home without smaller pets or very young children, just to ensure everyone is comfortable and safe. Exercise Buddy: I thrive on physical activity and mental stimulation. Daily walks, playtime, and engaging toys are the way to my heart. If you enjoy an active lifestyle or are looking for a furry companion to join you on outdoor adventures, we might be the perfect match! Training Potential: I'm a smart pup with a willingness to please, making me an excellent candidate for further training. Whether it's basic commands or more advanced tricks, I'm eager to learn and make my humans proud. Positive reinforcement and a patient hand are the keys to unlocking my full potential. Cuddles Included: While I'm full of energy, I'm also a sweetheart who loves to snuggle up with my favorite humans. I've got a lot of love to give, and I can't wait to be a loyal and loving member of your family. I'm ready to bring joy, laughter, and endless love to my forever home. Could that be with you? Let's create paw-some memories together! IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. The $150 deposit will be returned once the contract has been fulfilled. To apply to adopt, fill out an application at snarrnortheast/adopt/ PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FAQs

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
