She gets her comfort from being around another dog, so a balanced outgoing canine mentor is a must for her, a male. She is cautious with new people and takes a few moments to warm up, but once she knows you, she is your best friend. She is working on the cat thing, but has not decided that they are safe yet. Samantha is very good at redirecting when she chews on things she isn’t supposed to. However, she does come with a “broom” warning. She has a thing for them. Sweeping while Samantha is in the room is pretty much out of the question. She likes to attack it. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line.
