not that I am number 2, but because there is several doggies named Delilah on the website. I am a number 1 good sweet calm girl.
Good Girl Skills: I am wonderful to walk on a leash, even though I am large, I will never yank your shoulder out. I know what SIT means and I am willing to demonstrate any time, especially in the kitchen. Or even if you want to paint my toe nails during girl time.
Other Critter Socials Skills: I am great with kiddos and dogs, but I have to admit, I am not a fan of jumpy young puppies. Ain’t nobuddy got time for that. If a younger rambunctious pup gets too sassy frassy, I easily correct them. I can handle my own, but I am not Mary Puppins and I will not be applying for any nanny pawsitions. I have seen a cat and I didn’t try to eat it, so Foster Mommy says that was pretty good, but she hasn’t integrated me totally yet.
Favorite Game: I like tuggy war and fetch and really any game you play with me, I just enjoy interaction.
Cutest Move: When I want some more attention I pop my head out between the human’s legs and try to stand underneath them, it is my oh soooo subtle way to get your attention on me.
Age: At the city shelter they kept calling me an “an older gal that’s been around the block a time or two”. I beg your pawdon…I am only 7 years old and if you times that in human years it is 40ish. What if you went up to a 40ish year old human lady and called her an AIR QUOTE older gal AIR QUOTE to her face. How do you think that convo would go? Go try it…I will say a little prayer for ya. Right. Seven years is not old. I am wise enough to not take any crap off anyone, but young enough to still get my pawty on.
Breed: I am a dainty, gentle, large, lanky lady Great Dane Shepherd mix and weigh 80 pounds. I was an owner surrender to the city pound in 2018. My previous owners got me as an 8 week old pup and then 6 years later gave me up. We don’t know the reason why but I know I was a good girl for all those years.
Health: I did have heartworms, but I received the injection treatment in January. I will need to be retested in July to make sure those suckers are completely dead. I also get a touch of stiffness like arthritis when a cold front rolls in so Foster Mother gives me some vitamins for that.
Basics: Delilah 2 JuM- female, 7 years, about 80 pounds, Great Dane/Lab mix, good with dogs but doesn’t care for young puppies that bother her, good with people even kids, not totally integrated with cats, but doesn’t react to them from afar, gentle and sweet, a little shy at first and appears to have had some tough times, but she is a sweet gal (not an old one) and deserves the BEST.
So, if this sweet girl will fit into your home and family, please email AdoptionsGodsdogsrescue and tell them you want ME!!
