Hooch is a very sweet, VERY active, and intelligent dog that is very good with all people and children. We'd prefer a no toddler aged child home for Hooch because he has just fully recovered from his July surgery to repair a Partial Crutiate tear on his rear leg (TPLO) so he does not like to be jumped on or sat on as he's getting older. He is good with other large dogs as long as they are introduced properly, he loves puppies and small dogs, and has not been cat tested. Unfortunately, Hooch's family has gone through a divorce and he is in need of a new FURever family that is in a better situation to give him the love and ATTENTION he deserves. He would do great with a family with older children to watch over at night. He would also make someone a great companion dog, as he doesn't mind being the center of attention at ALL times. He would thrive in a home with a yard, he enjoys being outside, but with the right about of exercise and attention he could be fine without a yard. He is house trained, he does not get up on the furniture without being told to do so, and does not bark or chew anything in the house. Hooch will be okay alone while you are at work, he does not have separation anxiety, but he will be super excited to see you when you get home. Are you looking to add a new cuddle bear to your life? Hooch is waiting for you... Hooch is neutered, microchipped and current on his vaccines. His adoption fee is $250 which helps Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. ♥ (NO to Apartment Living) *Hooch will require a home visit prior to adoption. All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog. We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information. All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog. Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog.
