Doodles are high maintenance dogs when it comes to grooming and expect a grooming bill over about $100 every few months, they also need regular brushing in-between hair cuts or it will cause severe matting. Please do a little breed research before committing to this fade of a mix breed, they are starting to fill up our shelters more often due to the demands of the breed combo between exercise, intelligence and grooming requirements becoming more then many families are able to handle. Important PLEASE read if interested in adoption: We have a pretty open adoption policy, apartments, unfenced yards, and young kids are okay, but only if the pet you are interested in is a good fit for that situation!!! Some dogs may require a fence of a certain type and height, due to safety, the breed or known history. We are looking for pet parents that provide vet care such as routine vaccines for their pets and heartworm prevention for dogs. Please understand we do cross check vet references and landowners/landlord policies and cannot process applications with incomplete or incorrect information. We asked that you take your newly adopted dog for a vet exam in the first 30 days to establish with your vet and obtain their heartworm prevention prescriptions and have a fecal exam administered as some pets may need additional de-womers after leaving our care.
