We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. He does shed - he is not a hypoallergenic doodle Weight: 67.4 lb Height: est 25-27 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $299 Fence needed? Yes! What kind of home would be best for me? PJ needs a home experienced with large high energy dogs with no smaller animals in the home. (He likes to chase) He would also do best in a home with young adults or older and very active adults. No grandkids visiting at least for a while until he learns some manners. PJ is a lot of dog and can be overwhelming to small children. What is my personality like? PJ the golden boy! At only an estimated year old it very much shows. PJ is an athletic dog and would love for someone to take him on hikes. Being so young, he still has a lot to learn. He was found as a stray so we do not think someone spent time to teach him basic manners. He would benefit greatly from a few training classes. In true Labradoodle fashion this boy loves to fetch, and he is working on learning to bring the toy back. Even though he doesn't know any commands, he is very eager to learn and just needs the right person. How do I act when I first meet new people? Does not meet a stranger! PJ will walk up to anyone with a wagging tail and introduce himself! He thrives on social interaction and is a huge ham with people. He always wants to be the crowd favorite! Other tips and tidbits: Just a young boy that needs a little polishing! Given a little time and patience, PJ is going to make an awesome family dog and we cannot wait to see him reach his full potential. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet.
