He's just a good companion dog longing for a home to call his own. We rescued Buddy from a high kill shelter in SC where he was scheduled to be euthanized. Buddy is such a love. He's house trained, crate trained, good with older kids and good with most dogs. He likes to be top dog so a home without other dogs would be best. Buddy likes to fetch and be with his people. He's a pretty mellow dude who doesn't need a great deal of exercise, but would like a fenced yard where he can play ball. Buddy is most Yellow Lab, approximately 3 years of age and weighs 50lbs. Buddy has been neutered and is current on his vaccines. He is currently receiving treatment for heartworms and the rescue will cover treatment until he's negative. Buddy is being fostered in NJ and any approved adopter should be willing to meet and adopt in NJ. Make Buddy your new Buddy!!! ~~The Last Resort is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
