I&#39m Maddox and I&#39m pleased to meet you. I must say, I consider myself to be a &#34lucky dog&#34. One day, I&#39m wandering the streets of Houston, without a home, and the next I know, I&#39m in a very nice home, with a lady who promised me that she will find me a forever home. Luck just seems to follow me and I&#39d be happy to bring that luck to your life, too. I&#39m 55 lbs and 2 yrs. old. I&#39m house-trained, getting used to the crate--not my favorite activity, and energetic. I&#39m working on my obedience training and have caught on to a couple commands very quickly. In fact, right now, I&#39m being fostered by a very good professional trainer, so you know I&#39m learning every day. They tell me I&#39m a quick study. I like people. Sometimes I like to take a little time to get to know people, but I&#39m definitely a people-oriented guy. I also like car rides, because that&#39s a bit of an adventure, too. I am good with other dogs, but I do appreciate a proper introduction. If you are looking for a fun, energetic, active dog, who enjoys taking walks, wouldn&#39t mind learning how to be a running partner, and enjoys a little chill time, I just may be your guy! Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet

  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life.
