so they must be adopted together. LNF does accept all major credit cards & PayPal. We would consider allowing a qualified adopter to make payments for their adoption fee. We pay out-of-pocket to provide outstanding medical care, spay & microchipped so it is necessary for us to reimbursed for our costs thru adoption fees. The girls Meet Your Match Designation: Constant Companion - Looking for an emotionally secure, mutually satisfying, low maintenance relationship? I am all you need. Let me sit at your feet, walk by your side, and I’ll be your devoted companion forever. Let me tell you about these little angels. They are adorable little sisters, only about 2 ½ years old, petite at 16 lbs, so sweet, so gentle, super-friendly & SO affectionate. Their coats are so pretty, like a kaleidoscope of sandy & white colors & their eyes are so expressive. They sleep together, they play together & if one is out of sight for some time the other starts crying. They love each other & have been together their whole lives which is why they must be adopted together – no exceptions. In the morning when I take them out of their crate to potty they just are always so happy to see me & the tails are wagging like crazy as if we hadn’t seen each other for a month! Stella is the leader & she is always ready to start the day, hit the door & go potty. Both of the girls are perfectly housebroken. Now Ella & I have a routine, she always waits for me come to back to get her & she rolls over on her belly & I am required to give her belly kisses & she gives me tiny little butterfly kisses. I love our morning routine. If you look at the video below you will see just how these girls LOVE people. They are meeting two of my friends for the first time. They bestow as many KISSES as possible– wow can these little girls KISS! If you are offended by lots of butterfly kisses they wouldn’t be a good choice for you. If you don’t want two little ones crawling up on your lap – again they may not be the best choice for you --- but if on the other hand if you would love to have two little girls that are super-friendly, super affectionate & just downright adorable in every way you are going to want to meet them in person – Their previous owner in KY posted them on Craig's List – “Free to a good home" and that seldom works out well for animals. Thankfully a rescue friend in KY saw the ad, called & went to pick them up. They could have ended up with someone who might not be kind to them. Neither was spayed so had they gotten into the wrong hands they would have bred them to death to make money. The first thing I do is get them spayed! Sadly both had been abused because they flinch or crouch down with fear with loud sounds but they are so sweet that neither is a fear-biter. The girls need a family who will give them a loving, quiet home where they'll be cherished for the rest of their lives. If they seem like the kind of little ladies you would love to bring into your life, please read our adoption requirements & if you can meet or exceed them you can apply online at our website. All LnF pups/dogs have been temperament tested & live in foster homes ~ All pups and dogs have been housebroken (puppies are paper trained) & crated trained ~ All pups/dogs have been Microchipped ~ Tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia & Lyme ~ Each dog is on Heartworm Medication year-round while in our care ~ Up to date with Rabies ~ Distemper, Parvo & Leptospirosis vaccines ~ Wormed. Adoption Requirements: *A minimum physical 4-foot high fence or is higher is always mandatory and must be installed. 1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
