7-4-16 Happy First Birthday to Reagan. 3-18-16 Meet Reagan, DOB 7-4-15, who comes into rescue as an owner surrender. Reagan was given away at 8 weeks of age, as the breeder had singled him out and disconnected from him. Up until recently, he was in Florida, romping around on acreage without fencing. Coming back to Michigan, he had to live in a trailer park, and was getting into trouble. Reagan is a very smart boy, yet doesn't have any manners. He is still intact, and he knows it. His neuter appointment is March 24th, which will help him pay attention better. Our adoption fee ($250) covers the age appropriate spay / neutering, heart worm testing, rabies, distemper combo, microchipping and any other necessary medical that a dog may need. Prospective adopters who have submitted an accepted application and completed a telephone interview are welcome to schedule an appointment to travel to meet the dog. If approved for adoption, a deposit will hold the dog until a meeting or transport is arranged. AuCaDo Rescue does welcome out of state adoptions. We require an approved application, phone interview, photos and willingness to travel to meet the dog. AuCaDo Rescue is located in Remus, Michigan.

Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet

  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life.
