you are looking for a cuddle buddy dont miss this amazing girl. She loves to have a family of her own and has been through such a rough start. She is an amazing girl. And she loves to have a good time. She is a sweet laid back couch potato. Bluebell is a darling Neo girl. She is still just a baby at a year old! She is a stunning blue color with natural ears and tail. She came to us with Cherry eye, but that has been resolved and she is on the mend. The more she heals the better she is feeling and doing. We have not seen anything but a sweet girl who needs some social skills. She is becoming a happier healthier girl every day. She is a great dog and still just a baby she has so much growing up to do. She just needs a great home and a family that loves her. She is a great dog but typical neo personality so needs a home with big dog experience. She loves attention but does best with dogs that are over 50 lbs. Blue bell is a darling girl that came to us from a not so great situation. She was picked up as a stray by animal control and held for her stray time. At that time no one came for her and she was on the euthanasia list. We reached out to the shelter but we were 10 hrs away and she needed picked up before the shelter closed or she would be put down! We rushed, called everyone we knew and begged for as much time as we could. Thankfully the shelter was awesome and hung around for us. The were scared of her and used a catch pole to move her around. Sadly she was blind in one eye due to the cherry eye so she couldn’t see what they were doing. She was so scared and we are so glad we could help out. Blue bell is a great girl who was just very scared. She is still a puppy and has not had a lot of positive interaction. She has done amazing in her foster home and after a few days really opened up and became a great dog. She jut needs love and a good home. She even has started to play with toys. She does great with other dogs, and seems to ignore cats. She is an amazing girl and we adore her. We know she will make someone a great dog for a home with kids over 10 since she is so scared. She just needs a gentle home to work on her fear. Her eye is all better and she is doing amazing. She can be a bully with other dogs, but that is typical for a neo. So she needs a home who is used to big dogs or strong willed ones. Bluebell is up to date on vaccines, dewormed, flea treated, spayed, and has had her cherry eye repaired. She is house broken and done well with crate training. It gives her a safe place for when things are to busy for her. She does great with other dogs but needs a slow introduction, and is nervous with small dogs and is a sweet laid back girl who wants to be loved. She does great with people and is getting much better after her operation. She is a great girl and we adore her. She is so smart and willing. She just needs a great home to love her. She is still fearful of small kids and we think that kids had abused her at some point. So a home who can be patient with her would be amazing. We spend a lot of time trying to get to know the dogs in our program as best as we can. This means that we have spent time introducing them to dogs, cats, kids, animals, people and as many things as we can. We try to do as much as we can to evaluate them, both with in our group and if the dogs come from other rescues or shelters their evaluations as well. However dogs are individuals and will react to different situations differently. This means that we do not know how a dog will react in every situation. We give out our best guess based off information provided but the handler of a dog and the way they are introduced to a situation makes a huge impact. So if you have any questions of how to introduce a dog to your home, please let us know and we will provide as much info as we can from pamphlets to helping find a trainer in your area. Our rescue aims to help dogs who are passed by and over looked by most rescues and people. We help the dogs who are in need of medical care, vetting, training and breeds that most will not help with. In most shelters if you are large dog, a big dog, or a male dog; from the moment you walk in you are on barrowed time. If you have docked ears or are a guardian breed your time was over before you walked in the doors. We aim to save these dogs and give them a second chance. Please help us save more lives by helping with our medical bills as they grow. This year has already been hard and we have many medical dogs in need. https://www.gofundme.com/v2eap2f8 If you would like to adopt this pet please send us an email. Applications will be sent to you via email. We do our best to get back to emails in 24 hrs. If it has been longer then that please resend another email. We would love to hear from you. We welcome any questions that you may have. Our goal is to find the right fit for every home, not just any home! We have been informed that some of the links to email us regarding our adoptable dogs are not working. This has been on going for a few weeks with petfinder and a few other links. If you find this to be an issue that you are having please send an email directly to us at: RisingPhoenixWa@aol.com If you are inquiring on a specific pet we do ask that you put the name of the pet in the subject line. So we know who it is that you are inquiring regarding. Thank you in advance for understanding as we work through this. As with any rescue we are always in need of donations. MANY of our dogs come in with special needs or medical issues. These need to be resolved before going home. If you would like to make a donation toward a dogs medical care you can use our paypal address RisingPhoenixWa@aol.com you can also email us for a physical address. We are always in need of dog food, soft food for some of our special needs dogs, collars, leashes, crates, and toys!

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
