Benson would thrive in a patient, calm, and structured home. He prefers slow introductions to new people and animals and would do best in a home without cats or other small animals. He is naturally more comfortable and social with women, but he can form a strong bond with men who give him the patience, understanding, and time he needs. A securely fenced yard with plenty of room to run and play would be ideal.
BACK STORY
Benson and his six littermates were born at Pets Return Home after their mother was surrendered as a stray to a shelter in Yuma. Benson and his brother Barney are still here at the ranch, and they play wonderfully together.

Pets Return Home is a no-kill sanctuary, rehabilitation center, and adoption center dedicated to giving euthanasia-listed, homeless, abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs a genuine chance at life.
Located in Northern Arizona, we provide an enriching, free-range environment where dogs learn to trust, play, and rediscover what it means to be a dog.
