en Mostly Mutts came for me. At the MM shelter, I am settling in nicely and am now ready to find a family to love and be loved by, come meet me soon! I spent some time in the prison/foster training program off-site and learned a lot! I was adopted for a couple of months, but my energy level wasn’t a match for the family, so I’m back with MM looking for a family that will be active with me. I’m in a wonderful foster home now while I wait for my family to find me.
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I have a hard time making doggie friends. For now, I would like to be your only dog, please. / I met a cat at MM and we all decided that it’s best I not live with cats. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet. My foster thinks older kids (maybe 10+) might be a good match since I love to play and sometimes do some gentle nibbling / mouthy play, but never in a mean way.
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a sweet, fun and friendly girl with the most adorable floppy ears and nubby tail! Playful and affectionate, I love to spend time with people. I was a bit unsure during my shelter bath, but I eventually relaxed and – by the ear and face cleaning time, I was giving sweet kisses. I am playful and energetic – my foster says my energy level is high, but so is my cuddle level – so I am looking for a family member that matches my energy level for lots of fun and adventures together . . . then we can curl up together on the couch! / My energy level is 7-8+.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. I’m a bit hyper-focused with toys, so my trainer has taught me to exchange my toy for a treat or another toy. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts, as well as in my foster home. My foster leaves the door open and I use it as a quiet resting spot. I also go in nicely when asked. It is also a good idea to crate me away from windows if any outside people are coming to work in the yard – I get a little vocal looking out for my property. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule and in my temp. and current foster homes, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I am super excited when I visit the play yard with the volunteers! In my foster home, I love playing in the backyard and doing zoomies! I really love toys, and, as mentioned above, can be hyper-focused with them. I love stuffed toys and play with them enthusiastically, then I move on. Tug-o-war is also one of my favorite games if you want to have some fun, too! Mealtime is a close favorite to play time, so a slow feeder suits my needs best, so I don’t get a tummy ache from eating my food at lightning speed – lol. After some playtime, let’s snuggle up and unwind together. / I don’t like bicycles passing me or busy walking paths so please hold tightly to my leash and let’s find quieter places to walk. I’m not a fan of the vacuum, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. Otherwise, I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.
• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m currently on an inexpensive medication to help with my hyper-focus on toys and some anxiousness. At the shelter, I can’t have toys overnight for my safety, so I get excited when I see a toy. I’m hoping that in my forever home, where there will be lots of toys, I can feel more relaxed about them and hopefully come off the medication in time.
I am looking for a fun family with whom I can make great memories! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
