y in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applicationscarolinapoodlerescue with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 4/6/2025 Reason for being in rescue: Lovingly surrendered by owners Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Dolly is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Weight: 45 lbs (est) Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $599 Fence needed? No. Dolly easily clears a 3-foot-tall fence. Dolly is not a dog you can let out in the backyard unattended (even to potty). She will come looking for you. What kind of home would be best for me? Dolly is full of life! She loved playing tug-of-war with the kids (sometimes dragging them through the house!), and her curious nose made her a pro at counter-surfing and investigating the trash. While those traits made her a handful in her previous home, they’re also part of what makes her so fun and full of personality. Now in our care, Dolly is still trying to figure out where she fits—but one thing’s for sure: she’s ready to find a forever family who can keep up with her zest for life. Dolly would do well in a home with active individuals—whether you're single, a couple, or a family with older children (13+), Dolly is ready to be part of your pack. She just needs a home that understands her energy and is willing to guide her with love and consistency. Dolly is a happy, high-energy girl who enjoys playing with other dogs. She may be a bit too much for cats unless yours is confident and comfortable around energetic dogs. What is my personality like? Say hello to Dolly, a joyful and energetic girl who’s looking for a new forever home. She was lovingly surrendered by her previous owner because her playful energy was a bit too much for the young children in the household. It was a tough decision made out of love—Dolly deserves a life where she can thrive, not spend too much time in a crate. Dolly will benefit from ongoing leash training, learning some basic manners (no more trash diving or counter surfing, please!), and practicing basic commands. The time you invest in training will not only help her grow—it’ll build a deep and lasting bond between you. Dolly is house-trained, but she’s not very vocal when she needs to go out, so regular potty breaks are important. Dolly has so much to offer. She's looking for a kind, patient, and loving adopter who’s ready to help her become the amazing companion she’s meant to be. In return, Dolly will bring a ton of fun, laughter, and unconditional love into your life. Dolly is waiting—ready, willing, and able to fill your days with tail wags and adventures! How do I act when I first meet new people? Dolly absolutely LOVES meeting new people and is always up for a good play session! Other tips and tidbits: Dolly’s birthday is 9/16/2021. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
