she continues to learn and navigate life! She does know how to sit with a hand cue and can be redirected when on walks with the same hand cue! She is a very smart girl who enjoys learning! The most important thing to keep in mind with Ambrosa is that she has a difficult time reading other dogs body language because she cannot hear if they are growling or barking at her. Ambrosa thinks everything is a game and that everyone wants to play! Ambrose did arrive to the shelter as a stray, so we do not know if she has lived with other animals or children. She is a happy girl who does not appear to have an ounce of shyness in her body! Ambrosa has not been reactive towards other dogs in the shelter and is eager to play. We recommend a dog meet and greet prior to adopting just to be sure other dogs will be accepting of her bouncy personality. Ambrosa has done well with walking on a leash but my play grab the leash. To correct this behavior, we ask her to sit to get her attention back onto us! Ambrosa may be potty trained, but it can be difficult to tell in the shelter environment. She will thrive best in a home that is able to provide her regular exercise and enrichment. She enjoys stuffed kongs and we anticipate her doing great with dog puzzles! Ambrosa does great with handling. She loves to be petted and hugged on. She is such a great dog who has so much potential! She just needs someone to give her a chance.
