These breeds make great additions to active families who will pamper them, but who will also work with them, as they are smart dogs who need leadership, structure, plenty of activity and mental stimulation.

Suki is a very calm and sweet 3 year old, tiny gal. At 10lbs, she's the smallest girl in our rescue! She is very calm and sweet. She wants to sit on your lap all day. She is learning to walk on a leash and she is going very well. She is doing great at potty training. She loves kids. She is well behaved on outings, and gets along very well with all the pets in her foster home. She will let a little jealous growl when she's on foster mom's lap and another dog climbs up, or when another dog wants to share the same bed, but she never takes it any further. She’s wonderful. Suki is adorable, charming, and so loving. She will steal your heart!
Like any of our dogs, this sweetheart would make a great addition to an active home that will provide love, structure, good leadership, activity and mental stimulation. Because of that, Suki's ideal owner will have prior experience. Even if you exercise and play with your dog daily in your fenced yard, please remember that you MUST still take your dog out on daily walks and outings, in order to provide sufficient stimulation, ward off boredom, and work on leash skills, and manners.
Suki's adoption fee is $375, all of which goes back into offsetting our high-cost vetting expenses and rescuing more dogs. We are a 100% volunteer-run rescue group and rely on adoption fees and donations to continue saving lives. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, fecal, deworming, flea/tick and heartworm preventative, heartworm tested if old enough (and treated if positive), and microchipped.
