Description:
If you’re looking for a smart, loyal, and endlessly entertaining companion, Sasha might just be your girl. This clever pup is a quick study—she already knows sit, shake, and heel, and is working on standing on her back paws for treats. With her treat-motivated brain, the sky’s the limit when it comes to training.
Sasha is also a wonderful walking partner. She strolls politely on leash, only turning into a squirrel-chasing rocket when small critters cross her path. She especially enjoys long walks with new routes full of fresh smells. Back home, she’s a fan of the outdoors—she rings the potty bells to ask out, sometimes for “business,” sometimes just to sunbathe or sprawl in the grass like a queen.
Dog friends? She’s got those covered too. Sasha plays happily with a young corgi mix in her foster home and coexists peacefully with two larger dogs, even if she sometimes wishes they had her same energy level.
Now, here’s the honest part: Sasha takes her time deciding who’s worthy of her inner circle. Around her chosen person (currently her foster mom), she’s a total sweetheart—loyal, snuggly, and silly. But new people, especially men, are scary for her. She shows her nerves by flattening to the ground, and if someone pushes too close too fast, she’ll let them know with barks and bravado.
Because of this, Sasha will need a patient adopter committed to continuing her confidence-building and socialization at her pace. The good news? She’s already making progress with her foster mom, and with consistency and love, we believe she’ll blossom into the brave, trusting dog she’s meant to be.
Currently meet and greets aren't being scheduled for Sasha because we want to ensure we aren't pushing her to meet new people too quickly or before she's ready. Though we are still accepting applications for those who are willing to meet her when she's ready!
Sasha isn’t looking for “just any home”—she’s waiting for her person, the one who will see her for the gem she is, quirks and all. If you’re someone who values a loyal bond, enjoys training, and doesn’t mind a work-in-progress who’ll make you laugh daily, Sasha could be your perfect match.
Adoption Fee: $450
We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433
***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians.
Our Weight Classes are as follows:
0- 25lbs - Small
26- 45lbs - Medium
46-89 - Large
90+ X-large
If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following:
Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped.
If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days.
Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home.
If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home.
If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all.
Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out.
