Description:
Tofu is a unique little guy with a scruffy coat and short little legs. He has a beautiful, white-colored coat with some faint spots—he’s definitely one of a kind. Tofu is a curious pup who is loving life, doggy toys, his foster family, food, and all the treats!
During his first few days, Tofu stuck close to his foster mom like a little shadow. But as his confidence grew, so did his curiosity. He quickly became quite the explorer! One of his first discoveries was the basket of dog toys, which he promptly scattered throughout the house so they'd be conveniently available whenever he wanted to play.
Tofu has a funny little habit! He'll bring an empty food bowl to his foster mom to let her know he’s hungry. Typical for a growing young boy she says he seems to be hungry all the time! He also enjoys being outside, where he can relax in the shade or curl up under the patio table, often resting on his people's feet.
This affectionate pup loves all the pets and attention he can get. He's learning to walk on a leash and is making progress with potty training. Tofu already knows several words, including “Outside,” “Treats,” “No,” “Suppertime,” and of course, his name.
Tofu is very social and always wants to be with his “foster pack,” no matter what room they’re in. He’s not aggressive at all and will happily give up anything he’s not supposed to have. He’s a smart, responsive little guy who’s learning quickly.
He enjoys taking naps with the rest of the gang and is curious about children. He even seems to understand that he's lower in the pack than a two-year-old toddler and he respectfully avoids her toys. Tofu also loves playing with tennis balls and having zoomie sessions with his foster siblings.
Overall, Tofu is a great boy who is full of love and personality. He’s looking for his forever family to share all his fun, snuggles, and adventures with!
Adoption Fee: $450
We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433
***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians.
Our Weight Classes are as follows:
0- 25lbs - Small
26- 45lbs - Medium
46-89 - Large
90+ X-large
If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following:
Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped.
If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days.
Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home.
If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home.
If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all.
Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out.
