canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applicationscarolinapoodlerescue with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 5/22/2025 Reason for being in rescue: Owner release Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Meet Jase, a loyal lapdog looking for a loving home. This little guy would make a wonderful companion for anyone that is home most of, if not all of, the day. Whether you’re single, a couple, or a family, Jase will thrive with a calm, attentive household. Because he’s used to a quiet environment, homes with young children would not be the best fit. Because of his diminutive stature, Jase is the perfect companion for daily adventures. Whether you're running errands, enjoying a coffee shop patio, or heading to the beach or mountains, he’s happy to come along—as long as he’s by your side. And yes, he’d love a little pup cup treat while out and about! Jase generally gets along well with other dogs, though he’s not fond of large, overly enthusiastic ones and may snap if they invade his space. He’s also cat-tolerant, provided your feline is used to dogs. Jase is longing for a calm, loving home where he can return to the life he loves most: being someone’s devoted lapdog. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who’ll adore you endlessly, Jase just might be your perfect match. What is my personality like? Jase is a sweet little guy whose world was recently turned upside down. Jase was living the good life with a loving owner and spent most of his time curled up in their lap. Sadly, his owner passed away, and with no one able to take in him and his buddy, Hunter, they both found their way to CPR. We’re not sure if Jase knows basic commands like sit, stay, or come, but he’s eager to please and likely to respond well to gentle, consistent training. He’s not a fan of walking on a leash yet but tolerates it—truth be told, he’d much rather be carried in your arms. One quirk to be aware of: Jase tends to hump objects like pillows or legs. We believe this behavior is a response to the stress of his recent life changes and expect it to fade once he’s settled in a secure, loving home. Jase is a classic lapdog—affectionate, cuddly, and happiest when close to his human. He shows his love through soft, rapid-fire kisses and would be content spending hours in your lap. How do I act when I first meet new people? Jase loves people but may not be overly enthusiastic at first, as he's still settling into his current surroundings. Once he feels safe, he’s quick to warm up, especially if you scoop him into your lap—his favorite place to be. In return, you’ll be showered with his trademark kisses. Other tips and tidbits: Chase was born on or around August 22, 2019. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
