egend lives on. This guy is all about the outdoors—sunbathing, chewing bones, and lounging on the lumpiest pillows he can find. He's got a goofy charm and is genuinely fun to be around once he’s comfortable. That said, Cade is shy at first. He’s skittish with new people and situations and does best with someone patient who lets him warm up on his own terms. He's also very food motivated—sometimes a little too enthusiastic, so watch your fingers during snack time. Cade does great with dogs but absolutely hates cats—he’s a cat hunter, no way around it. He’s crate trained, rides well in the car, and has a moderate energy level. Inside, he’s a bit of a marker at first and might need a belly band while he settles in. He’ll also bolt out the front door if given the chance, so you'll need to keep an eye on that. Bonus detail: he’s missing a middle tooth, which just makes his goofy grin even better. Cade is the kind of dog who, once he decides you’re his person, is 100% all in. Cade is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 06/14/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 4:30pm and 8pm. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
