nearly 10 pounds, and no one could explain why. She wasn’t eating, she wasn’t thriving… and time was running out.
When she came to us in March, she was sweet and trusting, but still not well. We rushed her to the vet. That’s when we learned the truth: still fighting, but not for herself. She had been quietly, selflessly fighting daily for the puppies only she knew she was carrying.
Everything she had left in her fragile body, she had given to them. She had nothing left to give until we stepped in.
From that moment on, Asha wasn’t alone.
She received emergency medical care, nourishing food, and the one thing she had gone without: LOVE.
And then, a new life.
Her pups, born healthy and strong:
Chance, Whisper, Dreamer, Hope, and now Mother.
Today, Asha is thriving. She’s been the most incredible mom, and her puppies are growing into happy, joyful little souls. Soon, they’ll all be ready for forever homes and a future filled with love.
✨ Asha’s story is a reminder that sometimes the greatest strength is quiet, and the greatest courage is found in the ones who fight without asking for help. Now it’s our turn to give them everything they deserve. Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way!
