She is a little shy at first, but warms up quickly and is your best friend after a bit. She gets along with other small young dogs and will learn to play when she realizes she is a pet. Please, no senior dogs in the home, as she needs to learn to play. No big dogs as she has never been around them, and no small children as their fast movements and yelling or screaming would scare her. Our must-haves for precious Starla include: A fenced yard Another young, small, well-socialized dog she can learn from Someone who can be home more often than not No apartments, high-rises, or condos, she’s a dachshund and will bark, and needs that fenced yard If you meet our requirements, then please apply. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten. There will be an additional $60 fee added for a required Health Certificate if traveling out of the state in which they are being fostered.
