ves With: Dogs, cats and people! Housebroken? He’s housebroken. Story: Chance was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina with sister Casey. We are so happy to have him safe and sound in a foster home in the DC area now. Chance is a happy sweetie who loves people and gets along great with other dogs and puppies. He knows just how to get comfortable up on the couch with his humans, and will love to join you on walks and trots around the neighborhood. Chance is just looking for someone to be his new best furend and we know that he will repay them with endless amounts of love and tail wags. Like all dogs, Chance will need an adopter who is committed to setting him up for success by enrolling in obedience training and exercising him both mentally and physically. He will also need love, patience, and socialization in order to thrive! What my foster says: Chance is a very loving, goofy, good boy. He loves to snuggle up on the couch with his humans, and would always prefer to be wherever his humans are. He loves walks, and is easy on the leash. He's potty trained, good in the crate, and gets along with the two dogs in his foster home. He's been easy and friendly interacting with other dogs and kids. He would likely be good with cats with a proper introduction. He's learning some of his basic obedience, like sit, lie down, etc. He's treat motivated, so can pick up training easily. An obedience class would do wonders and he'd definitely be top of his class. He loves playing fetch, although sometimes has poor coordination and will lose the ball, but he'll happily return back to you requesting you to throw another one. He's tried catching balls, but is terrible at it. Leapt for one once, missed the landing and face planted (he's okay). He loves to be a shadow, and will curl up next to you or under you if he can. As a bigger dog, he can curl up into quite the small ball just to be where you are. If you work from home, he's also happy to rest his head in your lap, and get head scratches. Generally he's pretty calm. All Chance really wants is love. And treats. Definitely treats. The fee to adopt Chance is $475. That covers the cost of his neuter, all his vaccines, the collar he’s wearing, his transport to DC and his care in his foster home. He’s up to date on all age appropriate vaccines.
