m. She’s always ready to make you smile—whether she’s gazing lovingly into your eyes, leaning in for snuggles, or rolling over for a belly rub, Celia is happiest when she’s close to her people. She’s also a big fan of stuffed toys—carrying them around like prized possessions—but she should be supervised during playtime, as she sometimes gets a little too enthusiastic and starts shredding them. Celia enjoys the company of other dogs, both young and old, and while she occasionally likes to take charge, she generally reads the room well. However, she’s not suited for homes with small dogs or cats, as they may be a bit too tempting to chase. While Celia is crate trained, house trained, and good at entertaining herself, she’s not a plug-and-play dog. She thrives best with a confident, patient handler who can help her work through her anxiety in new or overstimulating environments. Outside the home, she can become overwhelmed and will need ongoing support, structure, and encouragement to build her confidence. Additionally, Celia seems to have some allergies, but they appear to be well-managed with the right diet. Her adopter should be prepared to continue monitoring her food and environmental needs to keep her comfortable and healthy. Celia does require a secure 6-foot fence and would do well with a consistent routine that includes playtime, walks, and lots of affection—but her energy level is moderate overall.
