in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applicationscarolinapoodlerescue with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 03/26/2025 Reason for being in rescue: Breeder Release Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Clover arrived in rescue pregnant. She's given birth to 4 beautiful babies, her last litter. She's now been spayed and is up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Weight: 10 lbs Height: 12 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $399 Fence needed? Yes and it needs to be secure for small princesses. Clover loves to run and romp and she is a master at finding any kind of hole in your fencing. Clover is full of adventure, but let's keep her adventuring to the safety of her backyard unless she has a human on the other end of a leash. What kind of home would be best for me? Meet Clover, a little princess looking for her happily ever after! This sweet little mama came to us as a breeder surrender. Now that she’s finished weaning her pups, Clover is ready to leave motherhood behind and find a forever home where she’ll be the center of attention. No more litters, just love, pampering, and the joyful life she deserves. Clover would do best in a single family home with a secure fenced yard to hang out (with her people and her bestie of course). Clover would do well in a home with singles, couples, or families—as long as she gets lots of love and time with her people. If there are children in the household, they should be 10 or older and understand that Clover is not a toy. She loves to play and would happily run around a fenced yard with respectful kids, another small dog, or both! Without exception, Clover must have a small dog, her size preferrable, who is no more than 4 years old and still full of life and full of fun. In her perfect world, this will be another terrier for earth dogs have a unique style of play and they easily recognize when another of their kind "gets them." Clover thrives playing with other small dogs. Her foster mom will not place her in a home with only older dogs or as an only dog. She needs a canine buddy to go on adventures with. Stroller for two anyone? She also does well with cats as long as they’re dog friendly but a cat is not a substitute for a small dog BFF. This little explorer is happiest where the action is, her and her BFF buddy dog. She has never lived in a home. She has only lived first in a back yard surrounded only by her own kind, and then in our doggie day care type setting. She really likes this sleeping inside at night but during the day, she is in and out and loving life. Clover wants to be in the middle of all the things going on. She doesn't enjoy being left alone for long periods so first preference is to those who work from home or are home most of the time. She is content in her crate. What is my personality like? Clover is a total lovebug who adores people. She thrives on attention, enjoys exploring her surroundings, and firmly believes the best place to be is right in your lap. She’s energetic and playful, so an active home where she’ll receive plenty of affection and enrichment would be ideal. Clover currently isn’t leash trained and prefers to follow her human closely. Leash training will be an important next step for her safety. She also hasn’t learned basic commands like sit, stay, or come, but she’s a smart little girl and with positive reinforcement, treats, and love, she’ll pick things up quickly. Her compact size and affectionate nature make her a great sidekick for errands, outdoor dining, or trips to the coffee shop. Just don’t forget to treat her to a pup cup! Clover does not yet know the big, wide world that we just described, but we think she wants to learn. Clover is looking for someone to open their heart and home to a little dog who’s ready to live the fairy tale life she was always meant for. Are you the one to give Clover her happily ever after... If so, you’ll find that your own life becomes a fairy tale too, filled with love, loyalty, and lots of snuggles. How do I act when I first meet new people? Clover is a sweetheart who enjoys meeting people and making friends. There's no stranger danger here - just a lot of love to share! Other tips and tidbits: Clover was born on or around 3/26/2022. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
