experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applicationscarolinapoodlerescue with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 06/29/25 Reason for being in rescue: owner release/owner no longer wants to deal with an epileptic Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Minnie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Minnie is an epileptic, controlled with medication. She requires daily medicine and close monitoring. Minnie is a goldendoodle. We cannot guarantee that she is hypoallergenic or will not shed. Weight: 53 lbs Height: 23 in at the shoulder Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $1 - I am priceless Fence needed? Yes, Ellie requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Minnie is looking for a love that never ends—and she means it. Her last family, sadly, “just didn’t want her anymore.” But Minnie - she still believes in love. In fact, she’s out here giving it 110% every single day. She’s not looking for just any home—she’s searching for the one that craves her just as much as she craves them. The “let’s grow old and share snacks on the couch” kind of love. She lives with epilepsy, but don’t feel bad—she doesn’t! Her condition is managed and doesn’t slow her down one bit. Actually, we have to slow her down. She’s all gas, no brakes—running, playing, loving life like a dog on a mission. And when it’s time for vet visits - she turns into a one-dog comedy show. Thermometers - Fine. Bloodwork - Sure. Weird machines - “Let’s do it.” She treats every procedure like a meet-and-greet with bonus snacks. Ellie is looking for an active home that wants a BIG lap dog. She requires a family that is committed to her long-term care and has excellent veterinary records. This beautiful girl is going to make a family very lucky! What is my personality like? Meet Minnie – Lap Dog, Love Bug & Full-Time Snuggle Specialist. Do you have a lap - Great. Because Minnie has major long-term plans for it. This curly-coated doodle is a full-blown cuddle Olympian. She lives for hugs, leans, and dramatic head flops into your arms. She may be a bit larger than your average lap dog, but please don’t tell her—she’s 100% sure she fits, and she will wedge herself in with confidence and zero apologies. Minnie is perfect on a leash, knows sit and wait, and poses for pictures like she’s applying for Top Model. She’s also great with other dogs, but she’s totally fine being your one and only—as long as you’re ready to be completely obsessed with her. (Don’t worry, it won’t take long.) Ideally, she’d love a fenced-in yard to do her legendary doodle zoomies, followed by a solid nap draped across your lap like a living, curly blanket. She’s loyal, affectionate, hilarious, and just genuinely wants to be part of your world—all of it. So if you’ve got space on your couch, room in your heart, and a forever kind of love to give, Minnie’s ready to give you everything she has—and then some. She’s not just a good girl—she’s the love of your life. She just hasn’t met you yet. How do I act when I first meet new people? Millie is a lover. She loves all people and all creatures and greats both with boundless enthusiasm and a happy smile. Other tips and tidbits: Minnie was born July 26, 2021 House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
