eir four chihuahuas, including nursing mama Gigi and her three little babies. The trailer where they lived didn't have working AC and they were struggling to keep all 7 dogs fed and healthy. Because of Roscoe immediately went to the property with food and other supplies and got all the adult dogs scheduled to be altered and get up to date with their vetting. While they weren't immediately prepared to take in dogs, when the owners agreed to surrender mama and babies to give them a better life, Because of Roscoe scooped them up and sent them our way so we could find them the best forever homes! Gigi is 4 years old and weighs 9 lbs. She is the absolute sweetest girl who while shy at first, is desperate for human love and reassurance. Gigi is the epitome of a lap dog who is content curled up in your lap all day long. She's getting used to the leash and enjoys short walks outside in the yard. She is initially timid around other small/medium dog but warms up to them very quickly. She hasn't felt comfortable enough to play yet, but has no problem coexisting with other dogs her size. She also loves cats and has positive experiences living with gentle children. We are working on getting Gigi spayed, after which she can be officially adopted. She could to a forever home under a foster-to-adopt arrangement in the meantime!
