ere evicted. A kind neighbor gave them safe haven for a few weeks before reaching out for help, and now LB is thriving in her foster home with two humans and three small dogs. She’s even been around cats!
At first, LB was shy and cautious, but with a little structure and patience, she’s blossomed into a spunky, affectionate little character. Her foster mom, Kristin, describes her as a “true spitfire” who lights up when her people come home. She shared this update:
FOSTER MOM UPDATE - 9/27/25
“LB gets so excited when her people come home. She is also an amazing climber. “Despite her tiny size, she’s a champion climber who likes to perch at eye level. She loves to cuddle, but her preferred spot is burrowing into blankets when it’s time for a nap.
LB isn’t really into toys yet, but she’s discovered a love of wrestling matches with her foster sister. Once she’s comfortable, it’s full-on WWE SmackDown: Canine Edition! She’s an active, playful girl who enjoys walks, playtime, and the company of other dogs. For that reason, she’d do best in a home with at least one canine companion.
When guests come by, she may bark a bit at first, but it doesn’t take long, and within minutes, she’s running around and climbing into their laps. She reserves her barking for her advanced level squirrel chasing and for the 1st couple of minutes when newcomers come in the house. Other than that, she’s a friendly, social girl.
No matter what kind of day I’ve had, I can’t help but grin when I walk in and see her pogo-stick jumps of joy. It’s like my own personal welcome-home parade. When she burrows under a blanket, she thinks she’s invisible. But the moment you say T-R-E-A-T, the blanket starts wagging. Full-on paranormal tail activity. She can be a little nippy and excited with treats, but we are working on practicing sit and having her calm down before being rewarded.
She is also a world-class sunbather. Give her an outside dog bed, a patch of sunlight, and preferably, a dog friend, and she’s basically on a beach vacation.”
