Inside, she’s calm and low-key; she's super friendly and super sweet, happily curling up at the foot of your bed or rest quietly in her crate. She just wants to be close to her people and feel part of the pack. Outside, she’s a powerhouse who could run forever and would thrive in a home with a large, securely fenced yard. For her dream home, she would thrive with an outdoorsy, active family who can keep up with her athleticism, as long as they can give her the enrichment she needs. A 6-foot chain-link fence has worked great for her foster home — she has no interest in jumping it. She gets along well with other dogs, often showing mild interest or ignoring them entirely. Her reaction to cats is unknown. Mia enjoys watching the world go by from the front window and loves a good sprint across the yard. Loud noises can startle her occasionally, but she recovers quickly. She’ll bark when something catches her attention, but overall she’s not overly vocal — unless she’s on neighborhood watch! While her deep, commanding bark might startle intruders, she’s truly a gentle soul who just wants to be close to her humans. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities.
