ve—he fought to live. When he arrived, he was barely hanging on, but with care, time, and his own quiet resilience, he pulled through. Now, this stunning soul is ready to find the forever home he deserves. What Sinatra Needs in His Forever Home: A Patient, Gentle Environment Sinatra is still learning what it means to feel safe. He can be timid and occasionally retreats to quiet corners when overwhelmed. He needs a family that leads with kindness and patience, using only positive reinforcement to build his trust. His heart is tender—he’ll blossom with love and time. A Confident Canine Companion Sinatra thrives with other dogs. He looks to them for reassurance and guidance. A playful, kind dog in the home will not only be his friend but also his emotional anchor. Once comfortable, he loves to play and interact with his pack. ️ Cuddles Required If you’re looking for a snuggle buddy, Sinatra is your guy. He currently sleeps in bed with his foster mom and finds great comfort in physical closeness. Couch and bed privileges are non-negotiable—he’s a cuddle connoisseur. No Small Children Sinatra can get a little too playful and sometimes nips at ankles during zoomies or excitement. This could scare or unintentionally harm a small child. Plus, a bustling toddler household might be too overwhelming for his sensitive nature. Potty Training in Progress Sinatra is kennel trained, but potty training has been a challenge. He’ll need a consistent, structured routine and a patient home willing to work with him. Progress will come with time and trust. Sinatra has already shown that he's capable of surviving the hardest moments life can throw at him. Now he just needs a soft place to land—a home full of love, understanding, and doggy siblings to help him continue his journey. Are you ready to give Sinatra the life he’s fought so hard for? Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful animals, we ask that you please fill out our online application: form.jotform/223268341300041 We are a 100% volunteer organization and have to work other jobs to pay the bills. Please give us up to 48 hours to respond. Submission of an adoption application does not obligate you to adopt nor does it guarantee approval. We look forward to hearing from you. We are located in Pensacola, Fl. Local applications considered first, but will consider out of state applications if transport can be arranged. Please note all animals in the home must be altered, up to date on vaccines, and be on heartworm prevention. We understand there are some special cases and will take those into consideration.

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
