Hello everyone, my name is Tony, but my fosters call me “Scout” because I am always scouting around the yard, house or anywhere I am.
I am 6 months old, male and the best guess at my breed is Dorkie (no wise cracks!) – Yorkie/Dachshund mix. I weigh 9.2 pounds and will likely gain a
few more as I age into adulthood. I was recently neutered, and I did an amazing job with surgery, and everything is healing up well. I am really healthy and have beautiful white teeth, that I hope you’ll brush, and softmulti-colored fur. I do have fur that will need regular grooming and ears that grow a decent amount of fur inside that will need regular cleaning/removal. I have had several baths and grooming done and I am a really good boy, but still scared. My personality is a mix of things and still forming because I am a puppy. I am curious and cautious, friendly, smart, a little bit of stinker – I do a lot of “try and catch me,” when my fosters want me to come in the house. I am 100% potty trained on #2, but about 85% on #1 – zero accidents in my crate. I am a snuggler, but not a total lap dog. I need activity, and I am learning to walk with a harness on a leash and play fetch. I am good in my crate all night, but not a fan of it during the day and I sometimes vocalize that by whining. It does help if you leave the radio or TV on while you are away. I am good with other dogs, not tested on cats. Kids ok, but I am really small, so I need to be sure they understand how to handle me. If you think I sound like the perfect match for you or have more questions,
please contact my foster parents and they can talk with you about your interest. If that goes well, then we could schedule a “meet and greet” to see if we all feel it’s a match. Thanks for reading my bio. Love, Tony aka Scout
Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.
The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at .RescueCrew. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.
