in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applicationscarolinapoodlerescue with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 6/1/2025 Reason for being in rescue: Stray that was found on the side of the road Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Razzle is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Razzle was found as a stray so we have absolutely no history on her. Based on her overall health and condition she is estimated as a cattle dog / lab mix. This is a complete guess. Only a DNA test will tell. Weight: 55 lbs Height: 22 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $ Fence needed? Yes, Razzle requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Razzle is ready to ROLL into a home that’s full of love, laughter, and a little bit of structure. She’s not picky — kids, adults, big families, quiet couples, so long as there’s affection and a fenced-in yard, she’s in! She thrives in a space where she can stretch her legs, romp with dog friends, and maybe chase a ball or two (or just chase another dog who’s chasing the ball). Dog parks - She says yes, please. Doggy playdates - Absolutely. A canine sibling to wrestle and nap with - Dream come true. What is my personality like? Razzle – Your Sparkle, Your Sidekick, Your New Best Friend! Say hello to Razzle — a fun-sized bundle of joy who’s equal parts sparkle and sass, with just the right amount of zoom! This happy-go-lucky gal LOVES other dogs, plays like it’s her full-time job, and genuinely thinks every human she meets might just be her new best friend (and she's probably right). While Razzle is a total social butterfly, she’s still learning that leashes aren’t just fancy accessories and that sitting when asked gets you more cookies than not. But the good news -She’s super food motivated, and that means she’s ready to learn — especially if training comes with snacks and encouragement (bonus points for cheese). Razzle is the type of dog that makes every day feel a little more exciting and every moment a little more joyful. If you’re looking for a furry friend who’s got pep in her step, love in her heart, and a serious enthusiasm for life’s next adventure, then look no further — Razzle is ready to dazzle you! How do I act when I first meet new people? Razzle jumped right into the car of one of our caregivers. She never meets a stranger! Other tips and tidbits: Razzle was found as a stray so we have absolutely no history on her. Based on her overall health and condition she was estimated at 2 years old when she arrived in rescue. We celebrate her birthday May 1, 2023! House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
