y or a more relaxed household with another dog to play with. She rides calmly in the car, has an expressive face that sometimes looks like she’s smiling at you, and has a sweet, adaptable nature. Rescued along with her two pups from a crowded shelter where her future was uncertain, Lois has adjusted beautifully to foster life. She still needs a little work on not jumping up to greet people and pulling slightly on the leash, but she’s a quick learner and eager to please. She’s not an excessive barker, though she may speak up if she’s feeling left out or wants her turn outside. Lois would love a family willing to continue her training and give her the love, attention, and daily activity she needs—whether that’s walks, playtime, or just being part of everyday life. In return, she’ll bring joy, companionship, and plenty of smiles. Lois is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 8/22/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
