especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applicationscarolinapoodlerescue with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 07/13/2025 Reason for being in rescue: Surrendered by owners. Ceasar was adopted from a shelter, but not a fit for the home (no fault of his). The owners reached out to rescue for help. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Ceasar was found as a stray and landed at a shelter. We have no history on him. Given this, we cannot guarantee that he is hypoallergenic or that he won't shed. Weight: 43 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $599 Fence needed? Yes. Caesar requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Caesar is the type of dog who could thrive in a variety of homes—kids, couples, singles—as long as there’s love and activity in the mix. Cesar would probably adore a doggy sibling, but it’s not a deal-breaker for him. What matters most is that he gets to be part of the action and part of your life. What is my personality like? Cesar – The Comeback King! Caesar’s story is one of grit, heart, and pure joy. This handsome white Standard Poodle mix has weathered more than his fair share of trials, but each challenge has only proven just how incredible he truly is. Through it all, Caesar has kept his tail wagging, his heart open, and his zest for life fully intact. Caesar is a dog who embraces the world with open paws. He loves people, lights up for new places, and plays with other dogs like it’s his full-time job. If you’re looking for a jogging partner, a hiking buddy, or someone to join you for endless games of fetch, Caesar is your guy. He LOVES to run—really run—so a home with a big yard and an active family is exactly what he’s dreaming of. But don’t let his adventurous streak fool you—Caesar is just as content to flop down at your feet, stretch out on the couch, and relax after a day of fun. He listens well and has a solid start on good manners, though like any eager companion, he’ll still need guidance and consistency to perfect his queues and training. Caesar has already proven he’s strong, loving, and endlessly joyful. Now, he’s ready for the best chapter yet—with a family who will take him on adventures, give him room to run, and make sure he always knows he’s home. How do I act when I first meet new people? Caesar reminds us that we don't deserve dogs. He is happy and playful and gracious, in spite of the ways that humans have failed him. To meet this boy is to fall in love. Other tips and tidbits: Caesar was found as a stray so we have absolutely no history on him. Based on his overall health and condition he is estimated at 2 years old. We celebrate his birthday 07/13/2023. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
