Dove is Looking For: Her forever home! She did an amazing job of raising her babies Darth, Daxter, Demi, Digger, Doja, Dolce, Donut and Drax to be great family pets and they went off to get their homes. Now Dove is eager to have her own humans for sniffy walks and romps in the park and all the adventures her humans can dream up. And - she's out of the puppy yips and knows what's most important in life. Knowing where she belongs, being safe and loved. In exchange, she promises adoring gazes and love and loyal companionship for all her days.
What do you say? Is she the one you see by your side?
What My Foster Says About Me: Dove is the definition of a love bug, velcro dog who loves her people and gets along well with other dogs. She has a great attitude about life and is just happy to be in a home after giving birth to her babies. Dove walks well on a leash and is very curious about squirrels, birds, etc. She enjoys meeting dogs and people on walks too. She is doing well with crate training and house breaking so far, and being super food motivated should make training a breeze. Once she gets her zoomies and energy out, she is happy to lay on the couch and cuddle with her humans.
Heartworm information: Dove is a truly Lucky Dog. She tested positive for heartworms, but has been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. Dove has completed this activity restriction period.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog
