tender soul and so much love to give — she just needs someone patient enough to let her shine at her own pace.
This girl is sensitive, intelligent, eager, and incredibly loyal once she trusts you. She can be nervous around new people (especially men), but when you earn her trust? Indie becomes affectionate, goofy, and fully invested in her person. She wants to bond deeply — she just needs a human willing to meet her where she is.
A Heart for FamilyIndie absolutely adores her tiny human foster brother (18 months!) and is gentle, loving, and soft with him. In new places with crowds or fast, loud kids, she can get unsure — very normal for a young pup still building confidence.
Wonderful With Other DogsShe’s met her whole foster pack and does beautifully — respectful with slower or more cautious dogs, playful with those who match her energy, and always appropriate with boundaries. With structure and supervision, she’s a dream.
Smart, Trainable, and Really Wants to PleaseIndie is incredibly intelligent and picks up new skills quickly. She already knows:• Sit• Down• Paw• Spin• Automatic stay in sit & down until released with “break”• Walks beautifully on leash once comfortable• Handles new places well with a slip lead or StarMark prong• Crate trained overnight in a Ruff Land (still learning daytime crate manners)• Treadmill trained• Working on nail desensitization• Loves fetch — and plays an excellent two-ball game • Great in the car
She has medium food and ball drive, loves cuddles, and melts into you when she feels safe. Indie is the type of dog who bonds deeply — a true “one-human heart dog.”
An Athlete in the MakingIndie has tried agility and loves it! She can jump impressively high and enjoys learning new physical challenges.
She also had a little intro to barn hunt, she sniffed the rats a few times, but she was understandably more nervous about the new surroundings — the sights, smells, and overall environment. With more positive exposure, she could absolutely build confidence and enjoy it more over time.
Growing Confidence Every DayIf other people aren’t around, Indie will do anything you ask once she’s acclimated — and that acclimation period is getting shorter with each new place she visits. With consistent work, she is absolutely capable of continuing to overcome her hesitation around unfamiliar people.
She genuinely wants to make her handler proud and wants to “do all the things.”
Indie Is Looking For:• A patient, consistent adopter• Someone who will maintain structure, boundaries, and routine• A person willing to continue building her confidence• An active home that will give her outlets for her intelligence and athleticism
With love, structure, and commitment, Indie will blossom into the kind of loyal, affectionate partner Malinois people dream of — the kind who curls into your lap, gives gentle paw hugs, and tries her heart out just to see you smile.
If you’re ready to help this incredible young girl grow into the dog she’s destined to be… Indie is ready for you.
