Please note: This is a courtesy post for Bonnie’s caretaker. We do not know this dog personally, but we are helping to network her in hopes of finding her a safe and loving forever home.
Bonnie is a stunning 3-year-old beauty with the most soulful eyes you’ll ever see. She is spayed, completely housebroken, and an incredibly calm, gentle soul. Bonnie has wonderful house manners—she’s fully house-trained, uses a doggy door, and while she was previously crate trained, she no longer needs one. She doesn’t chew, scratch, or get into trouble and sleeps peacefully in her own room at night. She is also a very quiet dog who rarely barks.
Bonnie’s favorite part of the day is her morning walk, where she is polite, easygoing, and non-reactive—even when other dogs bark at her. She loves a short game of fetch, especially with her rubber bone, before happily settling down for snuggles. She takes treats gently, shows no signs of food aggression, and has proven to be incredibly gentle with children. Bonnie recently spent time with a 3-year-old, and the two became inseparable—snuggling, giving kisses, and enjoying every moment together. Even when hugged tightly or when food and toys were nearby, she remained calm, loving, and sweet.
Her past has been a difficult one. Bonnie’s previous owner got married and could no longer keep her, and while her current caretaker stepped in to help, it was only meant to be temporary. Sadly, if Bonnie doesn’t find a forever home soon, she will be forced into a high-kill shelter where her chances are heartbreakingly slim.
Because it is unknown how she does with other dogs or cats, a proper introduction would be required. One thing is certain—Bonnie is a hidden gem: calm, gentle, affectionate, and ready to be someone’s loyal best friend.
